Let’s be real here – OnePlus accessories didn’t quite have the same popularity and quality as its smartphones do. While the OnePlus 11 might be one of the best Android smartphones in the market right now, the OnePlus Buds and the OnePlus Watch are nowhere closer to that status. However, will the OnePlus Watch 2 redeem itself?
After the recent launch of the OnePlus Open foldable smartphone (which is amazing), the company is now preparing for the launch of the OnePlus 12 and the new OnePlus Watch 2 smartwatch.
While recent leaks about the OnePlus 12 point to the fact that it will be an amazing smartphone like its predecessor, people are still skeptical about the OnePlus Watch 2. This mostly stems from the fact that the first OnePlus Watch was a major disappointment, unable to make itself different (and better) than the competition.
However, recent leaks about the OnePlus Watch 2 point to major changes that this watch smartwatch needed badly. The first change is the fact that it now has a bigger 1.43” AMOLED display compared to the original 1.39” AMOLED screen.

In addition, the watch is slimmer than the original, along with housing two new physical buttons on its sides. Additionally, it will also be powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon WS Gen 1 chipset.
However, the biggest change in the OnePlus Watch 2 will be the fact that it will sport the Google Wear OS 4. This is the same OS that you get on the Google Pixel Watch 2. Therefore, it’ll have more apps and more support overall compared to the custom OS we saw on the original OnePlus Watch.
